To those who have received cheques this week and are confused about what to do next--I have permission from Ministry officials to post the following statement to help clarify things:

"So far the families who have received their childhood budget cheques will be receiving a letter within two or three days that explains how that funding can be used and what their responsibility is in terms of keeping receipts and reconciling that funding. In future, families can expect that they will receive the check and the letter within a couple of days of each other."

Part of the challenge is that the cheques and the letter are are issued from different Ministries.
