ONTARIO AUTISM PROGRAM UPDATE:

This morning, the Minister of Children, Community and Social Services made an announcement regarding enhancements to the previous February 2019 Autism announcement.

We do not yet have all of the details , but here are some of the aspects of what was announced as we understand them today:

1) There will now NOT be an income test applied to families

2) Childhood Budgets - Children 6 and under will receive the full 20 thousand dollars and children over 6 will receive the full 5 thousand dollars

3) There will be an introduction of an assessment of need categorized as Low, Medium and High. This is expected to be in place in the Fall 2019
